In 1974, Herb recorded a new album, YOU SMILE – THE SONG BEGINS, and formed a new band to tour behind it. The second band was known as “Herb Alpert & the T.J.B.” The lineup for this band underwent a few changes for the next album, CONEY ISLAND.

Me confieso como un fan empedernido del Tijuana Brass de Herb Alpert desde que lo conocí a mediados de los 60’s. Progresivamente fui adquiriendo sus grabaciones hasta que la agrupación cumplió su vida artística. Es por ello que con satisfacción les ofrezco mi selección personal de Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass , la cual no incluye los temas más comerciales, sin restarle méritos a Lonely Bull, Tijuana Taxi,Spanish Flea,Casino Royale, etc. El contenido es de los más variado y con una musicalidad que tantos galardones les dió. La selección se pasea por todas las grabaciones que efectuaron, excepción del álbum de Navidad. Estos son los temas escogidos

I confess as a hard fan of the Tijuana Brass Herb Alpert’s since I met him in the mid-60’s. I was gradually acquiring their recordings until the group completed its artistic life. That is why we are pleased to offer my personal selection of Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass, which does not include the most commercial, without detract a Lonely Bull, Tijuana Taxi, Spanish Flea, Casino Royale, etc.. The contents are the most varied and with a musicality that gave them many awards. The selection was strolling all the recordings they made, except for the Christmas album.
